Abstract
This Record of Decision (ROD) presents the selected remedial action for OU 6 at Elemendorf AFB. Specific hazardous substances include constituents such as benzene, toluene, trichloroethene, and tetrachloroethane. The selected remedies were chosen from many alternatives as the best methods of addressing contaminated groundwater and soil within the various source areas in OU 6. The selected remedies address the associated risks by a combination of actions to reduce contamination below cleanup levels for OU 6 established in this ROD and institutional controls to prevent exposure to contamination above those cleanup levels.
