Abstract
The feasibility of using an airborne multispectral scanner to monitor shoreline algae problems has been demonstrated. Multispectral data were collected at two sites on the U.S. Lake Ontario shoreline. Computer generated color maps were produced to show spatial distribution of Cladophora in the nearshore zone and to estimate standing crop. Spectral features of Cladophora were related to measured standing crop.
