Abstract
Overall, the potential secondary impacts, both economic and environmental, on Alaska resulting from outer continental shelf as well as on onshore oil and gas development will be substantial. These impacts will be felt on a local basis in varying degrees of severity. Some localities, such as Anchorage and Fairbanks, will receive impacts from nearly every development possibility, while others, such as Nome, Valdez, and Yakutat, will experience impacts from only a few scenarios.
