| Abstract |
The United States Steel Corporation has proposed to construct a new blast furnace as part of a modernization program at the Fairfield Works in Jefferson County, Alabama. The final EIS summarizes the draft EIS, presents the official transcript of the public hearing and responds to substantive comments made at the public hearing and submitted in writing. The major federal action is the issuance of the new source NPDES permit allowing discharge of wastewater from number 8 blast furnace. The agency decision is to issue the new source NPDES permit. |
