Abstract | The purpose of this study was to describe and evaluate the potential effects that the emissions of water vapor and heat from natural draft cooling towers have on the local environment, climate, and nearby electrical power station emissions. Field tests were conducted at the Keystone generating station near Shelocta, Pennsylvania. Observations and measurements were made intermittently during September, November, and December 1969.
