Abstract |
This investigation has been directed toward the development of a filter fabric possessing mechanical and temperature-resisting properties that would qualify it for use in conventional baghouse installations operating continuously at 600F or higher. Temperatures of this order are often encountered in the effluent fumes of pyrometallurgical operations. The ultimate purpose of the program of which this study is a part is to develop an economical means of controlling dusts and mists in industrial stack gases, as an aid to air-pollution abatement. |
