Abstract
The Multiple Cigarette Exposure Model (MCEM) was applied to ten field studies of the time series of carbon monoxide (CO), respirable suspended particles (RSP), and number of smokers, conducted inside cigarette smoking lounges at the San Francisco Airport (SFO) and the San Jose International Airport (SJC). The studies were conducted inside glass-enclosed rooms with rows of seats and the volumes of the rooms were 747.7 and 238.2 cubic meters for SFO and SJC, respectively.
