Abstract
The paper gives results of an investigation of the interaction of vapor-phase organic compounds with the interior surfaces of three large dynamic test chambers. A pattern of adsorption and reemission of the test compounds was observed in all three chambers. Quantitative comparison of adsorption between chambers was hampered by limitations of the methodology when adsorption was low. Cycling chamber air through the chamber air conditioning system increased adsorption for most compounds tested. Further testing is needed to determine if adsorption can be predicted from the vapor pressure of the test compound.
