Abstract
This information concerns an experimental insecticide. The company has conducted an acute oral study in rats with the experimental insecticide. The experimental insecticide was diluted with corn oil to produce concentrations of 50, 70, 100, 140 and 200 mg/m1. These solutions were administered orally to Crj:CD(SD) rats of both sexes. Five (5) male and five (5) female rats 7-weeks of age were used per each dose level. Six dose levels were used in this study: 0 (control), 500, 700, 1000, 1400 and 2000 mg/kg/day. Following administration of the experimental insecticide, rats receiving doses of 500 mg/kg and higher were observed to have ataxic gait. For those rats receiving doses of 1400 mg/kg and higher, salivation and urinary incontinence were observed.
