| Abstract |
It is the purpose of the paper to present data on the total removal of biochemical oxygen demand (B.O.D.) of nutrient substrates by activated sludge and to show what portion of the total removal may be accounted for by oxidation. The demonstration of the portion of the total B.O.D. removal that is the result of oxidation has not been made before. |
