The National Directory of AHERA Accredited Courses (the 'Course Directory') is intended primarily for use by federal and state agencies involved in the training and accreditation of asbestos control professionals under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986 (AHERA). It contains information about training providers and approved courses nationwide and is meant to serve as a comprehensive reference and resource document. It should also be useful for those training providers who offer accredited asbestos courses and to all consumers of these training services. The data is organized in a readable and covenient format designed to provide; a standarized nomenclature for both federal and state approved training course listings; a simplified and streamlined presentation of information through an integrated design format, presenting one listing for each provider entity; expanded report-generating capabilities; the elimination of redundancies between separate State and EPA Regional lists of approved training providers and courses; and a more economical and efficient medium for distributing the information.
