Mine drainage and mine reclamation are topics of major interest to the mining industry, federal and local governments, and the general public. This publication and its companion three volumes are the proceedings of a conference held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, April 24-29, 1994. Volume 4 includes the six sessions (24 papers) that dealt with such topical issues as fires at abaondoned mine sites, subsidence, hydrology, mine wastes, and policy.
