Abstract
A study was made of the plywood, hardboard and wood preserving segment of the timber products processing point source category. The purpose of the study was to develop information to assist the Agency in establishing effluent limitation guidelines for existing sources, new source performance standards and pretreatment standards. Industry was subcategories include: barking, veneer, plywood, hardboard - dry process, wood preserving, wood preserving - boultonizing, hardboard - wet process and wood preserving - steam. Processes, wastes, control technology, and costs are discussed.
