Abstract
The ability of seven models, ranging in sophistication from the SAI Urban Airshed Photochemical Grid Model to a published set of ozone isopleth curves (i.e., 'standard' or Level IV EKMA) to predict peak ozone is examined for three days observing high ozone in the Los Angeles Basin. The impact of control strategies simulated with each of the models is also compared. Impact of specific differences among models such as different means of considering horizontal and vertical diffusion and use of different chemical mechanisms is also examined.
