Abstract |
This report describes a methodology for conducting air quality assessments of national mobile source emission control strategies using the Modified Rollback Model and standard EKMA isopleths. Both modified rollback and EKMA are simple models which do not require extensive data bases. As such, they are most useful for estimating the impact of an emission control strategy on air quality in nationwide studies where a number of alternative control strategies must be analyzed in a great many areas. Recommended methodologies and data assumptions are consistent with those used in the regulatory impact analyses for alternative national air standards for ozone and carbon monoxide. |
