Abstract
EPA and DOE established a multi-year Interagency Agreement (IAG) in 1991. The main objective of the IAG (and of the second IAG that was added in 1993) is to conduct a research program on thermal technologies for treating mixed waste and to establish permit procedures for these technologies particularly under the requirements of the new EPA Combustion Strategy. The objective of the paper is to present an initial IAG/NTW study -- one emphasizing the Development of a Permit 'Roadmap' for Mixed Waste Thermal Treatment Technologies.
