Abstract
The report is the third of a series which deals with research on the feasibility of using satellite-based instruments to detect atmospheric pollution. This report, which consists of three papers, investigates the possibility of climactic change from the radiative interference from dust and clouds in the atmosphere; provides an example of satellite detection of global, or large-scale atmospheric pollution and a laboratory experiment on the non-lambertian radiative reflection properties of urban areas, and presents a theoretical treatment of electro-magnetic scattering from randomly oriented anisotropic particles with the intent of obtaining information about their shape.
