| Abstract |
The profile compiles and analyzes economic and financial data for the Metal Products and Machinery industry and presents a detailed profile of the seven Phase I sectors that manufacture, rebuild and repair metal products and machinery. It supports the companion document, the Economic Impact Analysis of Proposed Effluent Limitations Guidelines and Standards for the Metal Products and Machinery Industry (EIA), by expanding upon and presenting evidence for industry characterizations given in Chapter 3 of the EIA. The purpose of the profile is to provide a general understanding of the structure and performance of the industry, and, in particular, to provide insight into the ability of the industry to absorb possible costs or savings associated with the proposed effluent limitation guideline. |
