Abstract |
The fish fauna in the near shore waters of Lake Erie and the Three Rivers Watershed were investigated from July 1971 through December 1972, and in 1973, 1974. The study established a baseline of the existence of fish species; their relative abundance and distribution; the habitat degradations due to pollution and their effects on changes in fish population diversity, distribution and abundance. Changes in fish species are attributed to stream obstruction, pollution, siltation, loss of aquatic vegetation and other causes. |
