Abstract
The paper proposes two models of a reversible sink in an indoor environment. Based on simplified Langmuir assumptions, the kinetic model worked well with flat indoor surfaces such as wallboard, but it failed to predict the long-term, low-level re-emission from complex surfaces such as carpeting. The two-box model takes into account the slow mass transfer process and can be applied to both types of sink materials.
