Abstract
This Manual of Practice has been prepared for use by local authorities and consulting engineers for the investigation of sewer systems for infiltration/inflow. This Manual discusses three areas: sewer system evaluation, sewer rehabilitation, and design of new systems to minimize infiltration/inflow. Procedures for conducting the System Analysis and Sewer System Evaluation Study (SSES) are described in detail. Sewer cleaning equipment and methods of sewer inspection are discussed in detail. Factors which govern the cost of conducting work are given. Rehabilitation techniques are described and an analysis of factors to be considered for each method described.
