Abstract

Bluegill larvae were raised in the laboratory with a high percentage of survival using newly hatched San Francisco brine shrimp nauplii as a first food. Utah brine shrimp nauplii and older San Francisco nauplii were too large for a bluegill first food. Bluegills were raised to maturity in 4-6 months.
