Abstract
The purpose of the guideline is to define the minimum criteria which should be followed when designing and operating a minimum network in the environs of lead point sources. Criteria are provided for both meteorological and ambient lead monitoring. Meteorological monitoring is needed if adequate meteorological information is not already available to ensure the proper locations of ambient lead samplers. The guideline defines minimum quality assurance requirements to ensure the collection of adequate ambient air quality data. One section discusses the data reporting procedures for the ambient lead data as well as the quality assurance data.
