Abstract

This literature review summarizes current data on the effects of pesticides and trace contaminants on marine and estuarine organisms. Impacts of the petroleum industry on marine ecosystems is reviewed from several viewpoints including world input to the oceans and French coast, biotransformation, oil spill technology, hydrocarbon characterization, toxicity, blowouts, and liability.
