Abstract
This project had as an objective the development of a Technical Assistance Document (TAD) for sampling and analysis of toxic organic compounds in ambient air. The primary users of this document are expected to be regional, state, and local environmental protection personnel who are faced with the need to determine ambient air quality for regulatory or information gathering purposes. The TAD consists of the following four sections: Introduction, Regulatory Issues Related to Toxic Organic Monitoring, Guidelines for Development of a Monitoring Plan, and Sampling and Analysis State of the art. A topical index is included to assist the reader in locating the pertinent subject areas within the document.
