Abstract | This study has developed a guide that may be used by technical personnel to perform an intergrated baseline evaluation of changes in the total environment--in plants, soils, and animals (including man)--that is needed for a factual pinpoint assessment. The methodology outlined in this guide requires substantial resources both in manpower and funds. The management and evaluation of the survey instrument should be performed by a qualified organization. Comprehensive ecosystem evaluation requires an interdisciplinary team of scientists. As a result, the execution of a baseline impact assessment requires considerable planning, funding, and evaluation. |
