Abstract |
The report describes a trial burn of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) laden oil and No. 2 fuel oil injected into the liquid incinerator at the U.S. EPA Combustion Research Facility. Destruction and Removal Efficiencies (DREs) in excess of 99.99999 percent (40CFR 761.70) were achieved, far exceeding the requirement of 99.9999 for the PCB (Aroclor) were achieved in all test cases. Hydrochloric acid removal efficiencies generally exceeded 99.9 percent. Other emission rates of organic compounds listed in RCRA Appendix VIII were tested and reported. |
