Abstract |
The objective of this project was to study the use of Biologically Enhanced Granular Activated Carbon (BEGAC) technology in European water treatment plants and to determine its advantages and disadvantages for use in the United States. Seven European water works were visited in which chemical preoxidation followed by rapid media filtration then GAC adsorption was being practiced and BEGAC process details were gathered. |
