| Abstract |
The simplified document provides EPA guidance for sampling friable sprayed-on or trowelled-on materials on ceilings, walls, and other surfaces for asbestos. The document furnishes advice for (1) identifying a sampling area, (2) applying a sampling scheme to the area, (3) determining the number to collect, (4) deciding upon sampling locations within the area, (5) formulating a quality assurance program for sampling and analysis, (6) collecting the samples, (7) submitting the samples for analysis, and (8) interpreting the laboratory results. |
