Abstract |
This section provides all parties involved in the Speciation Trends Network with a clear understanding of their roles and the lines of authority, communication, and reporting for the project. The organization of the STN involves three interacting entities: Federal and Regional EPA offices, state and local air monitoring and reporting organizations, and one or more contracting laboratories to service the collection sites with supplies, sample analysis, and data reporting. To make the best use of available resources and to meet demanding timeliness for collection and analysis of samples, the flow of information and samples must be optimally organized. The deployment and operation of the network is a shared responsibility among all the involved parties. This section describes the roles of all parties and establishes the lines of communication and reporting, with the goal of facilitating a smoothly operating network. |
