Abstract
HAR03 is a computer program which can be used to model the steady-state distribution of water quality variables for multi-dimensional bodies of water. The technique underlying the program is based on the conservation of mass and up to two variables reacting in a feed forward fashion with first order kinetics may be modeled. This program was developed for analysis of the Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) - Dissolved oxygen system, but with minor modifications the program can be used to model analogous variables such as chlorides, phosphates, coliform bacteria, etc.
