Abstract
The paper discusses the types of materials used in the manufacture of polymeric liners for waste management and the permeability of such liners. It also presents experimental permeability results for a range of commercial polymeric membranes to gases, water vapor, and solvent vapors. Current results of studies of the permeability characteristics of membranes as observed in pouch experiments are presented.
