Abstract |
The manual describes test methods that can be used to provide evidence as to whether non-polar organics, ammonia, or cationic metals cause effluent toxicity. These methods are not intended to be irrefutable evidence but only to be providers of enough evidence to suggest that Phase III, the toxicity confirmation, should be started. Phase III uses available methods to provide adequate evidence that the true cause of toxicity is consistently due to the identified toxicants. |
