| Abstract | EPA research priorities in aquatic toxicology are established by Agency initiatives. Much emphasis is now directed towards shorter, faster toxicity test methods for pre-market registration of new chemicals and on whole effluent tests to be used as NPDES Permits. More attention is expected to be given to incorporating the regulatory strategy to be used with the development of water quality criteria limits. |
