Abstract
This document is one of a series prepared for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to assist it in determining those petrochemical processes for which standards should be promulgated. This volume covers the manufacture of formaldehyde with the silver catalyst process. Included is a process and industry description, an engineering description of available emission control systems, the cost of these systems, and the financial impact of emission control on the industry. Also presented are suggested air episode procedures and plant inspection procedures.
