Abstract
Malathion concentrations were measured at selected positions on live, stationary human subjects wearing protective clothing. From malathion residues measured on human subjects, at different locations the authors estimated dermal exposure for people with varying amounts of exposed skin. These estimates were compared to the acute LD50 value (4100 mg/kg) for a 70 kg (150 lb) adult male. All calculated dermal exposures to malathion in the studies were less than the acute lethal dose for a human subject by four orders of magnitude.
