| Abstract |
Information is presented on the suitability of soils in San Miguel County, New Mexico for irrigation. The acreage, general location, and relative capability of the soils for use in irrigated agriculture are given. The irrigation land classes were assigned primarily on the basis of the data available from the general soil map. Although such maps are often made by generalizing from large-scale detailed soil maps, detailed soil surveys were available only on approximately one-half of the land in San Miguel County.
