Abstract
Corrosion exacts a heavy price from potable water distribution systems. Assessing its extent is necessarily difficult in the field and often occurs after corrosion has already done its damage. Various methods for evaluating distribution system corrosion are examined, with specific emphasis given to a special pipe-loop tester assembly, which may prove more accurate and may reflect actual field corrosion conditions more closely.
