Abstract
The paper presents and analyzes nine existing and novel control technologies designed to achieve multipollutant emissions reductions. It provides an evaluation of multipollutant emission control technologies that are potentially available for coal-fired power plants of 25 MW capacity or larger in the U.S. The paper primarily addresses technologies that are capable of simultaneously controlling nitrogen oxides (NO-x), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and mercury emissions from electric utility sources. Provided for each technology are a brief technology description, the level of commercial readiness and industrial experience, and emission control performance.
