Abstract |
The WMAC team at the University of Tennessee performed an assessment at a plant that manufactures aircraft landing gear. Metal forgings undergo machining operations to form the various components needed to manufacture the landing gear. The team's report, detailing findings and recommendations, indicated that painting-related wastes are generated in large quantities and that significant cost savings could be realized by reactivating the currently unused electrostatic paint spray system. |
