Abstract |
The environmental assessment of the Buccaneer Gas and Oil Field in the Northwestern Gulf of Mexico is reviewed. The objectives of the environmental assessment were (1) to identify and document the types and extent of biological, chemical and physical alterations of various marine ecosystem components associated with the Buccaneer Field; (2) to determine specific pollutants, their quantities and effects; and (3) to develop the capability to describe and predict fate and effects of Buccaneer Field contaminants. |
