Abstract
The report gives results of a survey of the flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems at Kansas Power and Light Co.'s Lawrence Power Station. The systems utilize boiler injection of pulverized limestone, followed by tail-end wet scrubbing: unit 4, with a net capacity of 102 MW, was retrofitted with two FGD modules and was placed in service in November 1968; and boiler 5, with a net capacity of 320 MW, and its FGD system were started up in 1971.
