| Abstract |
This manuscript reports on the occurrence of amphipods in potable water. These organisms may be the cause of taste and odor problems as well as serving as potential carriers of harmful bacteria. Disinfection data was presented showing the higher resistance to chlorine by bacteria associated with the macroinvertebrates as opposed to the unassociated. |
