Abstract |
The report gives results of a state-of-the-art review of various fuel-cleaning, fuel-conversion, and emission control technologies. It includes the following classes of technologies: physical and chemical coal cleaning, residual oil desulfurization, coal refining (liquefaction), coal and oil gasification, fluidized-bed combustion of coal, and stack gas cleaning. For each technology, the report presents the extent of current practice and the status of systems under development. |
