Abstract
The document is intended for use by State officials, radon mitigation contractors, building contractors, concerned homeowners, and other persons as an aid in the selection, design, and operation of radon reduction measurements for houses. It is the second edition of EPA's technical guidance for indoor radon reduction techniques. This edition incorporates additional and updated information, reflecting new results and perspectives that have been obtained in this developing field since the first edition was published in June 1986. It is anticipated that future editions will be prepared, as additional experience is gained. New information is continually becoming available through development and demonstration work funded by EPA and others, and through the practical application of these mitigation systems by private mitigators.
