Abstract |
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) conducts research at their Clinical Environmental Laboratory to determine the effects of gaseous and particulate pollutants on volunteer human subjects. Procedures for the validation and management of data acquired from this facility are described, which ensure that data are both scientifically sound and legally defensible. The procedures conform to all applicable EPA quality control guidelines and provide a 'chain-of-custody' record for the data capable of demonstrating that no unauthorized changes or deletions have occurred. |
