Abstract
Papers were presented by Soviet specialists from research design institutes and industry, and by representatives of US government agencies and the private sector. Topics included: electrostatic precipitator (ESP) research and application, ESP gas flow modeling, ESP rapping and reentrainment, ESP reliability, ESP modeling, flue gas conditioning, high-temperature ESP application, use of fabric filters in the US cement industry, emission standards, state-of-the-art of mist eliminators, mist eliminator testing, particle size distribution measurement in the micron and submicron ranges, dust resistivity and back-corona formation in ESPs, and fly ash composition and its effect on resistivity.
