Contents Notes
"This technical memorandum presents trace metal data for the first four years of the National Benthic Surveillance Project, part of the NOAA's National Status and Trends Program (NS & T). It was originally produced as a project report in May 1990 and remains essentially, unchanged. It contains data for samples collected in the eight coastal states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas which are collectively referred to as the Southeast region. It has two purposes: 1) to transfer four years of elemental data for both sediments and fish liver tissue to the NS & T data base, and 2) to summarize the major findings to date, understanding that a significant amount of data analysis remains. Manuscripts will be forthcoming in the open literature on these and future results"--Foreword
