Abstract | Ambient aerosol particles were collected by means of dichotomous samplers during July, 1979, at Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory, which is in a remote forested area of Georgia, USSR. Samples were analyzed for mass, elemental, crystalline, and ionic species concentrations and individual particles' size and composition. Factor analysis was applied to the bulk compositional data. Isentropic air parcel trajectories were used to evaluate the possible contributions from local and distant sources. |
