| Abstract |
Application of environmental indexing techniques to aquatic toxicological hazard assessment is illustrated, using three common data types (factors): acute invertebrate and vertebrate LC50 data and octanol-water partition coefficients for 37 chemical compounds. Subindex factor rating scales are constructed, total index computation is illustrated, and possible uses of this or other similar indices are discussed. |
